Sharing God's Love
At Faithful to the Word, our mission is to proclaim the unchanging truth of Scripture and to bear witness to the redeeming love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. We exist to glorify God by treasuring His Word, proclaiming His Gospel, and walking together as disciples who delight in His grace.
As the pastor of Fairlie Baptist Church, Dr. Joshua Nichols is devoted to shepherding God’s people with faithful preaching, Christ-centered teaching, and pastoral care that flows from the truth of Scripture. Our ministry is rooted in the Great Commission, making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20), and in the Great Commandment, loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39).
At the heart of Faithful to the Word is a commitment to the sufficiency and authority of God’s Word. We believe that the Bible is not simply a guidebook for life, but the very voice of our Shepherd who calls us to Himself. Through the faithful exposition of Scripture, we seek to magnify Christ, who is the center and climax of all God’s promises (2 Corinthians 1:20; Luke 24:27).
Our ministry is not merely about information, but transformation. We gather in worship to lift high the name of Christ, in prayer to depend upon God’s Spirit, and in fellowship to encourage one another as members of His body. We aim to equip believers to stand firm in the truth, to grow in holiness, and to be lights in a dark world. As Paul exhorted the church in Colossae, so we long to see the Word of Christ richly dwell within us (Colossians 3:16), shaping our minds, stirring our affections, and guiding our steps.
At Faithful to the Word, we are not building our own kingdom, but seeking the kingdom of God. Whether through corporate worship, small group discipleship, or acts of love and service, our desire is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel. In Christ, sinners are forgiven, the weary find rest, and the broken are made whole.
